NFDA International Professional Achievement Certificate Statement of Use

1. In General
i. This NFDA International Professional Achievement Certificate Statement of Use represents the official policy of the National Funeral Directors Association (“NFDA”) International Professional Achievement Certificate Program.

ii. This certificate program attests that an individual has fulfilled specific education requirements established by NFDA, whose educational programs promote ethical and professional standards to help members achieve more in their business, community, and life.

iii. A certificate of achievement such as the NFDA International Professional Achievement Certificate is not a license or credential to practice nor is it a requirement for practice, but rather it is a voluntary accomplishment with potential career benefits. Meeting the requirements and conferral of the certificate designation do not guarantee practitioner quality or competence.

2. Use of the NFDA International Professional Achievement Certificate
i. Possessing the above certificate signifies that the named individual has met the specific requirements of the certificate program. It does not guarantee that the individual will provide any particular level of performance to consumers generally. Any representation to that effect by the individual or his or her employer is improper and constitutes a violation of this statement of use.

ii. Only an individual may earn the certificate. No funeral firm or other business may do so.

3. Use of the NFDA International Professional Achievement Certificate Logo
i. The International Professional Achievement Certificate logo must be used in a proper manner. Individuals holding the certificate are given a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license to use the logo in accordance with this NFDA International Achievement Certificate Statement of Use.

ii. The logo may only be used by an individual NFDA international member who has been awarded the International Professional Achievement Certificate by NFDA. The logo may be used on the individual’s business cards, in correspondence, on promotional materials, etc. if its use in these materials cannot in any way be construed as guarantees of performance or guarantees of excellence of performance or of certification.

iii. The logo cannot be used by individuals who have not earned the certificate nor by any funeral firm or other business.
