Forest Lawn Cemetery Group (Buffalo), western New York’s 175-year-old cemetery organization, added three new members to its growing team and promoted another team member. The additions reflect the growth and scope of Forest Lawn, which now provides perpetual care to nearly 278,000 individuals within its 14 cemeteries, encompassing 700 acres across the region.
Angel Lauriano was promoted to superintendent of Forest Lawn Cremation Company. He has worked for the company for nearly four years and most recently served as director of security. In his new role, he will manage daily cremation operations. Lauriano holds an associate degree from Bryant & Stratton College and bachelor’s degree from Buffalo State University. He is a Certified Crematory Operator through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
Moreover, Joshua Fleissner rejoined the Forest Lawn Group as a family service representative. In this role, he will assist individuals with preneed or at-need arrangements for interment space. Prior to the past four years, when Fleissner worked for another cemetery in the area, he was a team member of Forest Lawn Cremation Company for nearly six years. He initially served as a crematory operator, then as crematory superintendent. Fleissner holds a bachelor’s degree from Buffalo State University.
John Kaczor joined the company as director of cemetery services. In his new role, Kaczor, a New York licensed funeral director, will coordinate details with and assist families whose loved ones chose in-ground or above-ground cremation interment. Kaczor is a graduate of the State University of New York at Canton.
Todd Zwifka joined the Forest Lawn Group as safety and security manager. In this role, Zwifka, a career security professional, will develop, implement and manage policies and programs to ensure the safety and security of all employees, family lot holders and visitors.
