Directors Investment Group (DIG) – the parent company of Funeral Directors Life, Passare, ClaimCheck and other subsidiaries – was recently included on the “Best Workplaces in Texas” list by Great Place To Work and Fortune. In 2025, the company ranked No. 8 in the small- and medium-business category, surpassing last year’s ranking of No. 13. In addition, DIG was the only company based in Abilene, Texas, to make the list. This is DIG’s ninth consecutive year on the list.

To determine the qualifiers of the “Best Workplaces in Texas” list, Great Place To Work reviewed more than 116,000 survey responses from employees at eligible Texas-based companies. Via the Trust Index Survey, employees responded to 60 statements and answered two open-ended questions, sharing their honest feedback about company leadership, workplace benefits, volunteer opportunities and more. dig.family
