Build Your Skills Without Leaving the Office

Looking for professional development that fits into a busy schedule? Two upcoming live, virtual NFDA education programs give you the opportunity to strengthen essential skills, learn alongside colleagues and bring practical knowledge back to the families you serve.

Cremation Certification Program – August 20-21

As cremation continues to play an important role in funeral service, proper procedures, due diligence and exceptional service to cremation families are essential. NFDA’s Cremation Certification Program covers best practices for safe, proper and ethical crematory operations, as well as strategies for providing families with the best possible cremation experience. Whether you operate a crematory, are considering opening one or work with a third-party provider, the program offers valuable education for managing cremation responsibly and confidently. Upon successful completion, participants earn the Certified Crematory Operator (CCO) designation and may earn up to seven CE hours.

The virtual program meets August 20 and 21, with sessions from 9:30-11 a.m. and noon-1:30 p.m. CT each day.

Arrangement Solutions Academy – Begins September 14

Great arrangement conferences require more than knowing what options are available. They require listening, asking the right questions and helping families discover what will make a service meaningful to them.

The Arrangement Solutions Academy brings a small group of funeral service professionals together for four 90-minute virtual “study group” sessions focused on real-life challenges. Led by an NFDA trainer, the highly interactive format emphasizes conversation, problem-solving and peer-to-peer learning as participants strengthen their arrangement skills and explore new ways to meet families’ needs. Participants who attend all four sessions may earn six CE hours.

The Academy meets Mondays, September 14, 21 and 28 and October 5, from 5-6:30 p.m. CT.
