Lisa Baue, founder and CEO of Funeral Women Lead (Parker), has written a new book, Wake-Up Calls: A Journey of Learning to Lead and Succeed in the Funeral and Deathcare Profession. Released nationwide on September 3, the book offers a deeply personal, motivating look at Baue’s decades-long journey in the funeral service profession. As a third-generation funeral director and former owner of Baue Funeral Homes in Missouri, she draws from her 40-plus years of experience to share stories of resilience, reinvention and rising through adversity.
Women represent a growing majority of funeral service professionals, yet they continue to face unique challenges when it comes to longevity, leadership and professional support. Baue’s book directly addresses these issues by offering mentorship through storytelling and encouraging women to lead with courage, empathy and vision in a profession that needs them now more than ever.
All proceeds from the book will go to relevant charities, including the Funeral Women Lead Foundation; Selected Independent Funeral Homes Educational Trust; International Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Association Educational Trust; and Funeral Service Foundation. LisaBaue.com
