About this event

Open to Alabama Residents only

Alabama state law now requires all crematory operators who attended an approved Crematory Operator Training course four or more years ago to take this four-hour refresher course, which has been approved by the Alabama Board of Funeral Service to meet the requirement for certification renewal. Please contact the Alabama Board of Funeral Service directly with questions about the cremation certification and renewal requirement.

Registrants for this refresher course must be previously certified crematory operators. Certification status will be verified with the Alabama Board of Funeral Service.

This is not a certification course. If you are seeking initial cremation certification, please register for NFDA’s full certification course on the same day.

This refresher course includes a comprehensive manual and will cover:

  • Principles of Combustion and Incineration
  • Cremation and Disposition Authorizations
