Accept No Substitutes – NFDA Endorsed Providers

January 12, 2017

While some companies may claim to be affiliated with or endorsed by NFDA, only a select few are able to call themselves “NFDA Endorsed Providers.”  A member recently contacted us about a collections firm that implied it had a relationship NFDA. Thinking that we endorsed the firm as a collection service, the member sent a $5,000 past-due account to them.

That member recently learned from individual with the past due account that he settled the account with the collection service for $3,700. The consumer produced paperwork showing he had paid the $3,700 to settle the debt; however, the funeral home never received payment from the collection firm and they are unable to reach anyone by phone.

NFDA has carefully curated an array of Endorsed Providers. You're welcome to use any product or service of your choosing; however, if a company has implied that they are endorsed by NFDA, please verify that fact before agreeing to use their services or products. The full list of NFDA Endorsed Providers can be found by visiting www.nfda.org/endorsedproviders; you can also call your NFDA member services representative at 800-228-6332 to verify whether the company is endorsed.
