Legacy Funeral Group has announced the acquisition of C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Homes and Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest Cemetery (southern Brazoria County). C.T. Baker & Sons Funeral Homes includes the original Baker Funeral Home (West Columbia), a location in Brazoria and a cemetery in West Columbia.
The Baker family has been dedicated to serving the community since 1958. Opened by C.T. and Mary Rose Baker, C.T. Baker & Sons was a family operation; their sons also worked at the firm. They eventually passed the business on to son William, who later sold it to his son, Kyle, to continue the family legacy. Kyle and his mother, Ann, remain vital members of the firm. Kyle Baker’s decision to join Legacy Funeral Group will continue the firm’s six-decades-long tradition of personalized, family-to-family care.
In other news, Johnson Consulting Group (Scottsdale, Arizona) presented eight Legacy Funeral Group locations with the Excellence in Customer Service Award for achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction in 2019.
Each year, families submit responses based on their experiences with the funeral homes. The awards are earned by Johnson Consulting Group clients that achieve the highest overall performance scores based on the families’ responses. The award recipients are recognized as leaders in delivering exceptional customer service and raising the funeral industry’s national standard of care. legacyfuneralgroup.com
