Congratulations to the 2006/2007 Pursuit of Excellence Program Award Recipients!
Ranked among the top two percent of funeral homes nationwide, the Pursuit of Excellence Program's award recipients are dedicated to maintaining a positive image for funeral service by consistently providing outstanding service to families, ongoing education to staff and adherence to only the highest ethical and professional standards. As part of the Pursuit of Excellence Program's entry process, funeral homes are asked to submit an essay describing an innovative and creative program or service that benefits the families or communities involved. Up to 10 essays will be chosen as the program's “Best of the Best.” This year, eight firms were chosen to receive this prestigious award. The best funeral homes, the best funeral directors, are compelled to do more than expected for their communities and the families they serve. From spending hours tracking down that special song for a service, to educating the public about cremation, the finest funeral directors have a passion for exceeding expectations.
NFDA seeks to honor these outstanding firms with the Pursuit of Excellence Program. This international award program benefits participating funeral homes by:
