Brookfield, Wis. – Robert "Rob" C. Moore IV, CFSP, CCO, of Moore's Home for Funerals in Wayne, N.J., was installed today as president of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA). The installation took place during the House of Delegates Meeting during the 2014 NFDA International Convention & Expo, October 12-15 in Nashville, Tenn.
Three individuals were elected by the NFDA House of Delegates and installed as officers: President-elect Bob Arrington, CCO, of Arrington Funeral Directors in Jackson, Tenn.; Treasurer W. Ashley Cozine, CFSP, CPC, CCO, of Broadway Mortuary in Wichita, Kan.; and Secretary Kenneth "Ken" Cahall, CFSP, CCO, of Cahall Funeral Homes Inc. in Georgetown, Ohio. Each officer will serve a one-year term.
Additionally, Robert L. "Robby" Bates, CFSP, CCO, of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas, was installed as immediate past president of NFDA and will serve a one-year term.
Alec S. Anderson, CFSP, of Anderson & Sons Mortuary in American Fork, Utah, and Stephen R. Kemp, CFSP, of Haley Funeral Directors in Southfield, Mich., were elected in August by the NFDA Policy Board to serve as at-large representatives; their installation took place during the House of Delegates meeting. They will serve two-year terms of office.
At-large Representatives Scott B. Anthony, CFSP, CCO, of Anthony Funeral & Cremation Chapels in Webster N.Y., and Charles T. "Chuck" Bowman, CMSP, CFSP, CCO, of Horan & McConaty Funeral Service & Cremation in Denver, Colo., will serve the second year of their two-year terms of office in 2014-15.
