The Director on the Go!

December 01, 2018

The December issue of The Director is now available online and in "The Director by NFDA" app! In this month's issue you can find a wrap-up of the 2018 NFDA International Convention & Expo, strategies to take your firm's community engagement to the next level and a discussion about why online reviews can be a boon for your business. Plus, when you view this month's issue online or in the app, you'll gain access to four additional pages of content that aren't in the print edition!

"The Director by NFDA" app is available for iPhone, iPad, Android and Kindle Fire. NFDA members can download it and read NFDA's flagship publication anytime, anywhere.

Downloading the app is easy:

  • Go to the App Store on your device and download The Director by NFDA (searchable by “The Director by NFDA” or “NFDA”).
  • If you are prompted to do so when downloading the app, please make sure to select “allow push notifications.” This will allow your device to send you a push notification each month informing you that the new issue is available. Simply open the push notification each month to start reading.
  • Once the app is downloaded on your device, open the app. It will prompt you for a username and password. Please enter the same username and password you use when logging in to NFDA.org.

The app also allows users to receive push notifications to let them know when the latest issue is available.

“We’ve had a digital edition of The Director since 2011 but it wasn’t very smart-phone friendly,” said Ed Defort, editor of NFDA Publications. “But with the advancements in technology this app makes it really simple for members to read The Director anywhere on their smart phone and tablet. You will also be seeing some enhanced editorial and some digital-only content as well as some new advertising opportunities for vendors.”

The enhanced digital version of The Director is an NFDA member benefit; must be an NFDA member to log into use the app.
