Proposed Bylaws Changes
Along with electing officers to serve on the Board of Directors, qualified association members are responsible for approving proposed changes to the NFDA Bylaws.
During the 2015 NFDA International Convention & Expo, the association enacted a new governance structure. Part of this change included combining NFDA’s Constitution and Bylaws into a single, new comprehensive governing document: the NFDA Bylaws.
The new NFDA Bylaws were fully-implemented last year and, since then, the Board of Directors have noted opportunities to strengthen and clarify the document.
This August, when you vote for the officers who will lead your association, you will also vote on a package of proposed enhancements to the NFDA Bylaws.
Click here for a summary and explanation of the proposed changes. A marked copy of the NFDA Bylaws, showing the exact language changes to be voted on, will be released in July.
When you cast your votes in August, you will also help select the winner of the 2017 Innovation Award. This award, given annually during the NFDA International Convention & Expo, recognizes the most innovative product or service introduced within the last year.
