Daniel Charles "Danny" Carroll, part-owner, vice president and secretary, Lady's Funeral Home & Crematory, Kannapolis, North Carolina, died July 14, 2010, at age 54. Carroll's wife, Raychel, and granddaughter, Mallory, also perished in the tragic plane crash.

Carroll was a lifelong funeral director, having worked at Lady's Funeral Home & Crematory since 1973; he become part-owner in 1980 and served as vice president and secretary of the firm. He was past district director, secretary-treasurer, vice president and past president of the North Carolina Funeral Directors Association and current North Carolina representative to NFDA's Policy Board.

Carroll is survived by daughters Kimberly and Sara, his parents, four brothers, two sisters and five grandchildren.
