NFDA's "Model Endorsement Plan" creates mobility for funeral directors
Because each state has its own funeral service licensing requirements—which vary from a bachelor's degree to no requirements at all—funeral directors wishing to relocate to a different state often have extreme difficulty transferring their license. As technology continues to make the world smaller and other workforce barriers decrease, funeral directors are searching for relief from this mobility restraint.
Recognizing this problem, the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards has embraced NFDA's plan to increase the mobility of licensed funeral practitioners through its Model Endorsement Plan. Universal License Reciprocity—NFDA's "Model Endorsement Plan" creates mobility for funeral directors, explains the plan and how it will benefit funeral service professionals.
