Unifying the Voice of Funeral Service
Funeral directors from across the country join forces in Washington, D.C., to advocate funeral service issues
Every year in March, NFDA rallies hundreds of funeral service professionals in Washington, D.C., to lobby for the association’s policy positions and legislative efforts. The success of NFDA’s Advocacy Summit is a direct result of the proactive efforts of its attendees. During the three-day event held in March, 2002, more than 200 funeral directors spoke with their congressional representatives to voice their concerns about issues and called their colleagues to urge them to contribute to NFDA’s Political Action Committee.
Unifying the Voice of Funeral Service summarizes the NFDA 2002 Advocacy Summit. It covers the issues lobbied during the event, the money each state raised for NFDA’s Political Action Committee, and the presentations made at the Summit. Renee Gryzkewicz is NFDA’s manager of communications.
