The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently identified and released the top penalties proposed by the agency in fiscal year 2001, as well as the most frequently cited OSHA standards for the same period. The top penalties proposed by OSHA, including settlements, range from $221,000 to $685,000. None of the top penalties were actually issued against a funeral home operation, although funeral homes could be cited for the same violations.
