A Stitch in Time

U.S. Representative Kleczka stresses the importance of knowing your elected officials before you need their help

When was the last time you spoke with your elected officials? Don't wait until you have a complaint or problem to communicate with them. The key to grassroots lobbying is "getting to know" your representatives before you actually need their help. In A Stitch in Time, U.S. Representative Jerry Kleczka, D-Wis., explains the importance of establishing a relationship with elected officials. Kleczka is currently serving his ninth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Kleczka's brother, Jerome, and his nephews, Jay and Jeff, own and operate the Prasser-Kleczka Bay View Chapel and the Prasser-Kleczka South Suburban Chapel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
