Minimum Care: Preparation Without Embalming
All funeral homes should establish a minimum standard of care policy when a decedent is received and/or sheltered at the funeral home and impress upon staff that this minimum standard of care begins immediately upon taking custody of the deceased person. Included is an NFDA sample Authorization for Minimum Care Services form for funeral directors to utilize.
